Terms & Refund / Transfer Policy

The Practice of Facilitation | Founding Cohort
January 14–February 18, 2027

We know that committing to professional learning involves both a financial investment and time away from other responsibilities. These terms are intended to make expectations clear while helping us protect the quality of a small, highly participatory learning experience.

1. Program and registration

The Practice of Facilitation is a live, online, six-week cohort with a two-hour orientation, four four-hour faculty-led sessions, and a four-hour Facilitation Studio (22 live hours in total). The January cohort is scheduled for Thursdays, January 14 through February 18, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, except orientation on January 14 (10:00 a.m. to noon Eastern Time).

Tuition is CAD $2,500 per participant, plus applicable taxes if charged and disclosed at checkout. Your place is confirmed when payment is successfully processed or an approved organizational payment arrangement is confirmed in writing. The registration confirmation will include the program schedule, amount paid, and a copy of these terms.

2. Cancellation and refunds requested by participants

To cancel, email hello@sayidconsulting.com. The date we receive your written request determines the applicable standard refund, subject always to your rights under applicable law.

Written cancellation received Standard refund
21 or more calendar days before January 14, 2027 (by December 24, 2026) 100% of tuition paid
8–20 calendar days before January 14, 2027 (December 25, 2026–January 6, 2027) 50% of tuition paid
0–7 calendar days before January 14, 2027 (January 7–14, 2027), or after the cohort begins No standard refund; see transfers and exceptional circumstances below

Refunds approved under this policy are returned to the original payment method where possible. Applicable tax amounts are adjusted as required. We aim to process refunds within 10 business days after approval, or sooner when required by law. Payment-plan obligations are adjusted to reflect any refund owed.

3. Transfers and substitutions

  • Transfer to a future cohort: If you request a transfer at least 8 calendar days before January 14, 2027, we can offer a one-time transfer to an available future cohort, subject to space and scheduling. Any difference in tuition will be discussed and agreed before the transfer. A future cohort is not guaranteed; if one cannot be offered, we will discuss available options.
  • Substitute participant: You may nominate a colleague to take your place up to 48 hours before orientation, provided the replacement can participate in the full experience and completes onboarding. Please contact us to arrange the name change; there is no substitution administration fee.
  • Once the program has begun, places normally cannot be transferred between participants because learning circles, preparation and practice build across sessions. We will consider exceptional circumstances individually.

4. Illness, emergencies and exceptional circumstances

Life happens. If a serious illness, family emergency, bereavement or comparable unforeseen circumstance prevents you from participating, please contact us as soon as practical. We will consider a reasonable accommodation, deferral, transfer or partial refund case by case, without requiring unnecessary personal or medical details. Any applicable legal rights remain unaffected.

5. Missed sessions and participation

The program is designed as a live, experiential journey. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions, join discussions, practise in small groups, and complete modest preparation between sessions. A missed session does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund, credit or individual make-up training. We will share available materials or reasonable alternatives where practical, but cannot promise recordings or identical make-up experiences.

You are responsible for having a reliable internet connection and a suitable device for live video participation. If an accessibility accommodation would help you participate, please contact us in advance; we will work with you in good faith to identify reasonable options.

6. Schedule, faculty and program changes

We may make reasonable changes to activities, sequencing, teaching materials or faculty where necessary while preserving the program’s core learning objectives and overall value. We will communicate significant changes promptly. If Sayid Consulting cancels the entire cohort before it begins, participants may choose a full refund of tuition paid or an available future cohort. If we materially change the date or delivery format and the alternative does not work for you, contact us to discuss a refund or transfer, subject to applicable law.

We are not responsible for costs external to program tuition, such as time away from work or personal technology purchases, except where the law requires otherwise.

7. Respectful learning environment and confidentiality

Participants are invited to bring real workplace and community challenges while protecting the confidentiality of colleagues, clients and organizations. Please avoid sharing identifying or sensitive information without permission. We ask everyone to practise respect, curiosity, constructive disagreement and care with others’ stories.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, unauthorized recording or repeated disruptive conduct are not acceptable. We will address concerns fairly and may take proportionate steps, including removal for serious misconduct, after considering the circumstances and any applicable legal obligations. Removal does not automatically waive a participant’s statutory rights.

8. Materials, recordings and privacy

Program resources are for the registered participant’s personal professional learning. Please do not redistribute materials, reproduce substantial portions commercially or record sessions without advance written permission.

Participants may use the facilitation practices and insights learned in their own work, while respecting third-party intellectual property and attribution.

Registration and onboarding information will be used to administer the cohort, communicate with participants and shape learning opportunities. Individual learner responses will be accessible to the program team; faculty will ordinarily receive aggregated themes unless additional sharing is appropriate and communicated. Marketing emails require separate consent where applicable.

9. Legal rights and contact

Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable rights or remedies under applicable consumer protection, human rights, privacy or other law. If a statutory cancellation or refund right applies, it takes precedence over the standard policy above. These terms should be read together with the information presented at checkout and your confirmation receipt.
